Khabib Nurmagomedov the Lightweight UFC champion is one of the best grapplers in the UFC roster but there are certain times when players from other promotions claim that they can beat Khabib in a pure grappling match. This time it was Conor McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis who claims the same.

Danis is a multiple time IBJJF champion and he claims that he can outclass Khabib in a pure jiu-jitsu match. Khabib’s ground game is perfect not only in UFC but other promotions also praise Khabib for his ground game that’s why he is also on number one in pound-for-pound rankings in UFC.

In his latest interview with Kyle Forgeard, when he was asked that he can win a grappling fight against Khabib, Danis says “Oh, come on. Yeah. Yeah. Everybody knows that though. You talk to anybody… But that’s not my fight. That Conor’s fight.”

Dillon Danis was attacked by Khabib Nuramgomedov following his submission win against Conor McGregor. Khabib jumped out of the Octagon right onto him and this isn’t the first time he spoke about Khabib.

In his interview with Ariel Helwani for ESPN ahead of Khabib and Conor’s fight, Danis says Conor McGregor can beat Khabib in grappling. Danis says, “Conor could beat Khabib in a grappling match. I think if you put them in a grappling match like ADCC, I think people would be surprised.”

 “Conor is a special athlete. The way he moves his body. He has the ability to move in certain ways and make passes and stuff. He’s a really good athlete. Chad Mendes is a better wrestler than Khabib. What credentials does Khabib have in wrestling?”

“Maybe in sambo. Chad Mendes was second in NCAA. Michael Johnson caught Khabib. Michael Johnson is not at the level that Conor is.” However, the result of this fight didn’t go in favor of ‘The Notorious’, and Khabib secured one of the biggest wins of his carrier.
