OJ Simpson passed away earlier this year amidst a country divided in their opinion about him. On one side were fans who felt the NFL great was framed due to his race, whereas others felt he was in the wrong, as evidence suggested. Now, the Buffalo Bills great’s former bodyguard has come forward with a claim.
Iroc Avelli worked for OJ Simpson and allegedly had possession of a flash drive containing conversations of his former employer. TMZ reported that Minnesota police obtained information about the drive while the LAPD investigated Avelli in a separate case.
Once Bloomington Police obtained a search warrant, they got their hands on the flash drive and have investigated the contents of it. Iroc Avelli alleged that the particular flash drive contained the OJ Simpson confessing to the double murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and hotel employee Ron Goldman.

In The Trial of the Century, the jury acquitted OJ Simpson despite substantial evidence pointing toward him. The primary logic of his defense attorneys was that the LAPD did not conduct a thorough investigation.
Instead, they alleged the police chose to take the easy road and pieced in the easy to find evidence in solving the crime. The former superstar running back maintained that he had nothing to do with the crime. But now this new evidence has police units across two states running to find the truth.
There was no confession from OJ Simpson
As the day went by, TMZ’s reporters kept on their efforts to gather information from the police. Once the investigation of the thumb drives were completed, Bloomington Police, Minnesota, arrived at a conclusion and revealed this to TMZ.
The police also confirmed to the media house that the recording on that particular flash drive consisted of just Iroc Avelli talking to himself. For law enforcement, this was another dead end. Ever since that trial in 1994, they have been in search of evidence to either confirm The Hall of Famer’s involvement in the double murder or point to the actual criminal.
OJ Simpson succumbed to his battle with cancer in April this year. Even after his death, the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson are looking for redemption. However, so far, the said evidence has been misleading.
