Ex-Cowboys star gives Eagles the recipe to beat Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs in Super Bowl
Reflecting his support for the Eagles, Marcus Spears offered advice to them on handling Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIX.

With the Kansas City Chiefs becoming the first team to reach three consecutive Super Bowls, much of the pre-game discussion has centered on their potential to achieve a historic “three-peat” or whether Patrick Mahomes will cement his status as GOAT. This focus has left their opponents, the Philadelphia Eagles, largely out of the spotlight– a narrative that Marcus Spears is aiming to change.
The former Dallas Cowboys star, who has never missed an opportunity to undermine Mahomes-led Chiefs, appeared on the recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up. Carrying a green phone case, he reflected on his support for the Eagles and served brotherly advice (sort of) ahead of facing the two-time Super Bowl defending champions in Super Bowl LIX.
“I just watched Jalen Hurts rush for three touchdowns a week ago. This is a different animal for the Kansas City Chiefs,” asserted Spears.
"If you can eliminate mistakes against Kansas City in critical moments, you have a chance to beat them." 👀

The legend emphasized the difficult choices the Chiefs’ defense will face, such as whether to commit Trent McDuffie to cover AJ Brown while simultaneously dealing with the Eagles’ rushing attack led by Saquon Barkley. Though he acknowledges the undeniable threat possessed by the elite quarterback Mahomes, Spears believes that the Eagles can overpower him if they minimize critical mistakes.
Urban Meyer expects Patrick Mahomes-Chiefs to shut down Saquon Barkley
Besides the excitement to make his debut at the Super Bowl, the three-time Pro Bowler is burdened with the grave responsibility of becoming unstoppable before the outstanding defense of Steve Spagnuolo. However, NFL expert Urban Meyer believes otherwise, stating that Barkley will get heavily restricted because of Chiefs’ defense coaches, Spagnulo and Joe Cullen.
As per BetMGM, Barkley’s projected rushing yards odds are over/under 128.5 at -115. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are favored by 1.5 to defeat the Eagles and complete the unprecedented three-peat at the Super Bowl game.
