If there’s anything Michael Irvin doesn’t like is the vaunted portrayal of the single life. Being married to the gorgeous Sandy Irvin, the three-time Super Bowl champion has realised the true essence of marriage and how important it is in one’s life.

A recent video of Michael Irvin at a restaurant is trending all over social media, where he is seen talking about the importance of being in a relationship. He recalled his bachelor days before he met his wife and had four adorable children and expressed how grown up he is today as compared to those days, thanking his anchor, who accompanied him on his life’s journey.

All great men have to mitigate the kid in him so it doesn’t mess up the king in him so he can reach his destiny. In order to reach that destiny, we need a good anchor, we need something to say- come home.
Michael Irvin said in the now-viral clip

Before meeting Sandy, Michael had his share of fun living a single life. As a star player of the Dallas Cowboys, he enjoyed a series of romantic entanglements and parties during the 80s. But as the 2000s began, the Hall of Famer reformed his life and married the love of his life.

Talking about his loving committed relationship doesn’t mean Michael and Sandy didn’t have their share of struggles. In fact, in an interview with Fort Worth Star-Telegram, earlier this year, the former Cowboys star opened up about the biggest struggle by revealing that his wife has been battling with early-onset Alzheimer’s for the past five to six years.
