Glen 'Big Baby' Davis' photo goes viral on the internet

Former NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis is still serving a 40-month prison sentence for his involvement in a fraudulent scheme. Recently, he found himself back in the spotlight, this time not for his game but for a viral photo of him in prison.

The 38-year-old Glen Davis, who last played in the NBA during the 2014-2015 season, began his prison term earlier this year after being convicted of defrauding the NBA Players’ Health and Benefit Welfare Plan. The image that has been making the rounds on the internet, showed Davis shirtless and appearing unbothered behind bars.

Davis is currently serving his prison term for what was described as a multi-million-dollar fraud involving 18 former players. This earned Davis one of the harshest penalties, second only to ringleader Terrence Williams’ 10-year sentence. He was a key player in the Celtics’ 2008 championship run.

Glen Davis, however, has maintained his innocence, claiming his actions were misinterpreted and that he was unfairly targeted. Despite this, he was found guilty of multiple charges, ordered to pay $80,000 in restitution, and placed under conditions for supervised release, including financial management and drug treatment programs.

Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis sued once again

While Glen Davis navigates life behind bars, his legal troubles continue to pile up. The former NBA star is now being sued by Dr. Lyndsey White, a pharmaceutical scientist, who claims Davis derailed a business venture and failed to repay a $30,000 loan.

White’s lawsuit outlines an agreement made in April 2021 to create “Big Baby Q” BBQ sauce. Shortly after, she claims she invested in a marijuana business with Davis, only for things to spiral following his arrest later that year.

According to White, Glen Davis’ behavior became aggressive, which caused her to sever ties with him and lose a potential fragrance line deal with Chris Brown, a venture she described as a “major client opportunity.” This legal challenge is yet another blemish on Davis’ post-NBA career, which has been marred by controversy.
