UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev tends to dress in a minimalist manner. He doesn’t seem to spend much on himself. However, Makhachev recently caught the eye of fans, flaunting something not cheap at all. It’s become quite the big thing, more so than his UFC 311 match spotlight. It dwarfed Arman Tsarukyan and Merab Dvalishvili’s haul by a long shot!
Arman Tsarukyan is the only one who comes from money. He sported an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph (26239OR.OO.1220OR.02) 41mm self-winding piece, in yellow gold, listed at $125,000. Similarly, at Media Day, champion Merab Dvalishvili wore a Tsikolia Seven ETA 2824-2 Automatic TW7A-46 variant ($1647.00). It’s a local haul from his Tbilisi, Georgia home soil.
The bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili comes from humble beginnings. Other than his burgundy suits, he keeps it humble. Hence, nation representation matters a great deal to him; even if it means for any other nation as well. Alexa Grasso and Yazmin Jauregui greatly lauded his efforts to charge Mexican culture, ahead of the last annual Noche PPV. However, it’s Islam Makhachev, who takes the cake on it all.
And here's Dvalishvili flashing his shining watch at UFC 311 press conference.

If it looks like one of those watches sold in souvenir shops around tourist traps, it's because it kinda is. It's a Georgian Tsikolia watch going for $1,647 (75 times cheaper than Tsarukyan's).… https://t.co/7WjXSeYnvy pic.twitter.com/C0veXCmWUv
But the diff between Merab Dvalishvili's and Arman Tsarukyan's watches (quoted below) doesn't matter when the final boss, Islam Makhachev is in the building with his $1.5 million Richard Mille RM 62-01 Tourbillon. Both expensive af and bought with his own money. Outclassed… https://t.co/6sDv9eEff4 pic.twitter.com/mWDMQS3R77

The Richard Mille RM 62-01 Tourbillon is not just another watch, it’s an artwork. Created in partnership with Airbus Corporate Jets, RM 62-01 is for those who live in the fast lane. Much like welterweight Ian Garry, Makhachev has gone viral before, flaunting Timex UFC King/50mm UFC Rumble in UFC 302 official promos. But this was pure class before his UFC 311 title fight and it was one that has gone quite viral.
Islam Makhachev’s RM 62-01 makes waves on the Internet before UFC 311 title fight
The RM 62-01 is not just a timekeeper. This watch is renowned for its avant-garde design and high-tech cogs. It underlines Makhachev’s growing stature as a top pound-for-pound fighter, one who’s worth his mettle. Islam Makhachev boasts five fight night bonuses in his past four UFC fights amid a winning streak.
His lightweight streak [14] crosses even that of mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov. The undefeated lightweight touted his own Richard Mille RM 35-03 – listed at $220,000. Meanwhile, their rival Conor McGregor, a legend and style icon in his own weird right, did so too. His Patek Philippe World Time 5231J, The Astronomia Baguette, and Rolex Day-Date 228396TBR are such pieces in his collection.
Now, Islam Makhachev gives the giants a run for their money, with a penchant for gold and blimps. Here is what fans think about it:

Even with Tsarukyan pulling out and Renato Moicano subbing in, this made it to the UFC 311 pre-fight chat boards. As the fans say it, Makhachev has “drip.” It goes to show that the UFC lightweight champ is coming on top of the world in the correct ways. A -1100 listed favorite for UFC 311, Makhachev would be posing up for more gold and glory if he wins.
