Adrian Newey‘s shock exit from Red Bull by the coming season opened up a plethora of opportunities for multiple teams. The aero-genius was rumored to join multiple outfits with lucrative offers. Ferrari, Mercedes, and Aston Martin were some of the major names hell-bent on acquiring Newey. However, ahead of the upcoming season, rumors flourish of the technical wizard already signing a deal.

Adrian Newey was seemingly the first choice for Ferrari after he was rumored to sign the deal for $105 Million. However, the rumors dumbed down soon as Aston Martin was believed to regain interest in Newey. Lawrence Stroll continued to attempt to acquire the Englishman after landing a powerunit deal with Honda in 2026.

Hence, according to BBC, Newey has already signed a $200 Million deal with Aston Martin. The deal is allegedly signed for over five years granting the 65-year-old $39 Million each year. The aero-genius is rumored to take on the role of design lead for the Aston Martin chassis from the 2026 season onwards.

Aston Martin further strengthened the crew by acquiring multiple key figures

Adrian Newey isn’t the only big-name Aston Martin has showered their interest in. The team has already signed Former Mercedes chief Andy Cowell as Chief Executive officer. In addition to this, Silverstone-based constructor has also signed a deal with former Ferrari chassis technical director Enrico Cardile.

Apart from this, Dan Fallows has continued to work as the Technical Director. Fallows is acquainted with Newey as the duo had worked together closely at Red Bull from 2006 to 2021. Hence, Lawrence Stroll’s ambitions with the team look extremely promising as the project continues to gain steady motion.

Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll have also signed a contract with Aston Martin for the coming seasons. The team will continue to attempt their best to join the top order of teams and fight for the championship. The 2024 season was a major shift in pace for Silverstone as they were unable to amass any impressive results during the races.
