Ted Kravitz claims Adrian Newey is ‘clearly still working’ after deeming exit from Red Bull
Adrian Newey has quit all his work at Red Bull after finishing up on the RB17 Hypercar. However, the Englishman is still spotted on the race weekends in Red Bull merchandise. Additionally, F1 reporter, Ted Kravitz noted that the 65-year-old is often seen taking notes and pictures in his notebooks regarding the upgrades. As a result, it was evident that the aero-genius wasn’t going to retire any time soon.
And he’s on the grid sketching designs of what everybody else and all the upgrades that other teams are bringing and thinking about I’m going to take these’. So clearly whoever said that Adrian Newey, they think he’s going to retire… wrong!Ted Kravitz said on Sky Sports F1.
Kravitz speculated that this occurrence meant that he was going somewhere else other than Red Bull. Hence, with these continuous rumors, even the Briton noted it was unclear where the aero-genius would take his knowledge to in the next season. Regardless, Newey was ‘clearly still working’ in the pinnacle of motorsport after exiting Red Bull.
And he’s obviously going somewhere else because why would you be coming here and making notes about other people’s cars? And wherever he goes, whether it’s Aston Martin, or Ferrari, or less likely I think now Williams or Mercedes or McLaren, he’s clearly still [working].Ted Kravtiz added.
Adrian Newey’s remarkable work in Red Bull would enable the 65-year-old to land a quick job at any of the top teams. Newey had previously opened up about how he hadn’t worked for Ferrari yet in his long career in F1. Hence, it would be exciting to witness the next career path the technical wizard decides to embark upon.
