Charles Leclerc finally scored his highly anticipated victory in F1 after a long gap of two years. He hadn’t won a race since the 2022 Austrian GP. Additionally, Leclerc became the first Monegasque to win a race at his home in Monaco. These circumstances made the victory even more special for the 26-year-old. Subsequently, he received a wholesome hug from the Prince of Monaco.

Several high-level celebrities and athletes were present at the Monaco GP. Amongst the sea of supporters, Monaco’s Prince Albert II was also present showcasing his support for the local hero. Moreover, amidst the huge support, Charles Leclerc stayed true to everyone’s expectations of him after scoring a highly impressive win.

Leclerc had previously received a lot of support from the Monacan King’s nephew, Pierre Casiraghi issued his support for the 26-year-old. The Ferrari driver was expected to bring home the victory after conducting a successful weekend in Monaco. Hence, the victory wasn’t surprising, yet highly special for the Monegasque driver.

Charles Leclerc was extremely emotional after the long-awaited victory

Charles Leclerc did not hold back while letting a few tears trickle down his cheeks for the Monaco victory. Winning a home race, especially in such a great fashion is one of the best feelings for any F1 driver. Hence, the 26-year-old was spotted enjoying the victory in an emotional manner. Additionally, Leclerc dedicated the triumph to a very special person in his life.

He claimed that his late father, Herve Leclerc was all that he could think of towards the end. The 26-year-old had previously awarded all his success in the pinnacle of motorsport to his father, as a result, the home victory was extremely special and emotional for him.

The Monegasque will continue to battle down the 2024 season for scoring such impressive wins. Leclerc further closed the gap to the championship leader, Max Verstappen. After witnessing multiple issues with Red Bull’s dominating form, Ferrari is extremely hopeful of closing in on its rival in the upcoming races.
