The Alpine F1 team has made the headlines with a stunning new livery for the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix. The revamped A524 is a Deadpool and Wolverine-themed livery in honor of the new 2024 movie.
Alpine has endured a poor run this season, scoring only nine points across 13 races. The Enstone-based team has been at the heart of major controversy among their drivers, which has further put a dampner their hopes for this campaign.
The traditionally blue-donning team has thereafter revealed a plush red livery with white lettering for the upcoming race in Spa. Alpine is the third team to design a special one-off livery this season, along with Red Bull and McLaren.
The livery made it’s debut on Alpine F1’s official Instagram page and has quickly amassed immense attention. The Enstone-based outfit will now hope to score a few points in their new red livery around the 7.004 km Spa racing circuit this week.
Esteban Ocon to wear Deadpool themed helmet at Spa Francorchamps
Alpine F1 driver Esteban Ocon will carry forward the spirit of Wolverine and Deadpool by donning a special helmet for the Belgian Grand Prix. Ocon wore a similar Deadpool-themed helmet last year at the Las Vegas Grand Prix as well.
Esteban Ocon races for the last time around Spa in Alpine overalls after announcing his departure from the team at the of this year. The Frenchman has been with the Bruno Famin-led team since 2020, securing his maiden win in 2021.
The 27-year-old is yet to make a statement regarding his future, despite being heavily linked to a seat with Haas F1 team. Ocon now looks to make each of the remaining races this season a fruitful one for the team and will ideally eye a points finish around Spa-Francorchamps.
