Sergio Perez’s disastrous performance in the 2024 season has opened up talks of the driver being fired from Red Bull. The 34-year-old scored a contract extension despite failing performances mid-way through this year. However, despite the massive talk of Perez’s sacking, his father, Antonio Perez made another shocking revelation over his son’s future with Milton Keynes.
Antonio Perez was extremely confident of Perez Jr’s capabilities as a driver. Perez Sr. claimed that his son will be present with the team for at least the next two years following the contract extension. This meant that the 34-year-old planned to retire with Red Bull as the team graciously provided him with a chance.

Perez Sr. claimed that people who rumored his son’s farewell from Formula 1 in the 2024 season should apologize. The 65-year-old further pointed out that Red Bull is a professional team and will do everything to return to the top following the major restructuring at the end of this year.
Those who said he would announce his farewell should at least apologize. Red Bull is the most professional team at the moment, the world championship team. They do everything they can to return to the lead, not only with Checo’s car, but also with Max Verstappen. I think Max will become world champion as Red Bull prepares for a place in the top three.
