Red Bull has a long history of nurturing talent in motorsport. Over the years, Milton Keynes has supported drivers such as Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, and Sebastian Vettel. Currently, there’s another driver on the horizon who is catching the eye of many, Arvid Lindblad.
Arvid Lindblad is a 17-year-old Red Bull junior driver. He was born in Surrey, England on August 8, 2007. Lindblad started karting at the age of five, and quickly made an impression. He was even supported by Formula E driver, Oliver Rowland.
In 2020, Lindblad won the WSK Super Master Series. A year later, Red Bull signed him in their driver academy, paving the way for a future in Formula 1. So far, Arvid Lindblad has shown considerable promise in feeder categories. However, could he be the next big thing in Formula 1?
Arvid Lindblad an exciting young talent
Lindblad’s career progression has been quite quick and impressive. The 17-year-old took his first win in Formula 4 at the Dubai Autodrome in 2023, finishing fifth in Formula 4 UAE. In the Italian F4, he held a massive 80-point championship lead before reliability issues pushed him down to third place in the standings.

Notably, Arvid Lindblad took pole position at the Macau Grand Prix in 2023 and went on to win both the qualification and main races. He moved to Formula 3 in 2024 with Prema Racing, finishing an impressive fourth in the standings, with four impressive victories. At the start of 2025, Lindblad won the Formula Ocenia Regional Championship.
Certainly, the 17-year-old has proved his mettle in junior categories so far. He is undoubtedly a future prospect for Formula 1. However, a lot will depend on Lindblad’s maiden campaign in Formula 2 this year, where he will race for Campos Racing.
Red Bull’s Dr. Helmut Marko will be keeping a close eye to Arvid Lindblad’s campaign. If things go in favor of the 17-year-old, he could undoubtedly get a chance to race in Formula 1 in the near future. Though, fans would first need to hope that Lindblad has an impressive debut season in F2 this year.
