Rumors linking Adrian Newey with Aston Martin have flattered Mike Krack. Particularly since Newey was rumored to have visited the Aston Martin factory this week. After leaving Red Bull, Newey was linked with Ferrari and Mercedes, but it seems the Silverstone-based team is also now part of this scenario

Mike Krack claimed that numerous names, including Adrian Newey were linked to Aston Martin recently showing it’s strong appeal and credibility. He said, the credit goes to Chairman Lawrence stroll‘s vision, as well as the support from partners like Honda and Aramco. The 52-year-old added that it will be interesting to watch how the project progresses. Krack reckoned, this widespread interest and strong partnerships gave their project a lot of credibility.

No, I think honestly, when you see how many names have been linked to our project lately and you see how all the project is, I think it's a credit to Lawrence's visions, to Honda to Aramco all the partners that we have.It will be interesting to see how this goes on, but I think it gives credibility to the project.

Krack mentioned that few years ago, if their team had been associated with such big names, no one would’ve taken it seriously. He expressed that the team is very flattered by the current interest and attention their project is receiving. This positive recognition highlighted the importance and credibility of their project. As many believe that an aero genius like Adrian Newey could join the team.

Mike Krack claims Aston Martin performance was similar to Mercedes at the start

Mike krack observed that there are some interesting similarities between Mercedes and Aston Martin. He noted that both team started the season with similar race performance. However, Mercedes managed to improve significantly race after race. Aston Martin still lacks the pace and improvement compared to the silver arrows, they didn’t made the same progress as Mercedes.

You see some interesting parallels here. We started the season off very similar to them, I think in terms of race performance, and then we did not manage to improve the way they did.

Krack pointed out, Mercedes uses similar tools and methods as his team. Krack considered this as a lesson Aston Martin can learn from Mercedes to improve. However, The 52-year-old reckoned, his team has gained a better understanding of their car. This improved knowledge is helping them make better decisions about how to set up the car for races. The Luxembourger believed that this deeper understanding will lead to better results in the future.

They use similar tools as we do, so it's something to learn for us and see how we go on about it. But I think lately, we have had a better understanding of our car.
