In May, Red Bull aero-genius Adrian Newey announced his departure from the team. The British engineer chose to leave after spending almost two decades with them. Rumors suggested that Newey might join several top teams, and Aston Martin was one of the names. However, he has not yet made a decision and will likely take some much-needed rest before making any choices. Mike Krack considers Newey as an option for team development and growth.

Mike krack in an interview stated that Aston Martin is still growing and developing, so they need to stay flexible and open to new ideas. He also mentioned that for further growth they need to hire some experts like Adrian Newey who has left Red Bull. He emphasized that Formula 1 is a fast-moving sport where simply maintaining the status isn’t enough to succeed. To stay competitive, the teams must continuously adapt things, which could include making big-name signings like Newey if the chance arises.

We're still in a period of growth but I think we have to be open-minded and dynamic, in terms of personnel as well as car development. This isn't a sport that rewards consolidation.

Mike Krack highlighted that having a stable foundation with routines and trust is crucial for the team’s success. He mentioned building trust takes time and effort, but it’s necessary for long-term stability. However, the team should never become satisfied or assume everything is perfect. Continuous improvement and effort are essential in maintaining success and achieving goals. Therefore, Krack reckoned they will hire Newey if Aston Martin had the chance to do so.

Obviously, that has to be constructed around a stable core. You need to have routines and you need to have trust and establishing that trust can take a long time – but you should never sit back and say 'we are fine'.

Mike Krack claims no ‘last piece in the puzzle’ at Aston Martin

Mike Krack explained that Aston Martin has recently added several new members to their management team. Whenever a new person joins, reporters ask if this completes the puzzle of the team. However, Krack noted that this was never the case. He stated The team is always evolving, and there’s always room for more changes and improvements. The process of building a successful team is ongoing, and they are continuously looking for ways to enhance and strengthen it. Therefore, no matter who comes in and goes, the 52-year-old reckoned the team always needs improvement no matter how well they’ve done.

We've announced several new members of the senior management team over the last few months, and each time someone new arrives, I'm asked the question: 'Is that the last piece in the puzzle?' It isn't.
Mike Krack stated.

Certainly, Mike Krack emphasized even though the team has hired some experts they are not always enough to make improvements. New challenges will arrive at every race and each season. For this the team needs consistent improvements to achieve success.
