Bahrain GP reveals ‘tweaked’ schedule for first race of F1 2022 season

Bahrain GP

The 2021 season of F1 was a blast, and the hype for the new season is starting to build. The season saw some of the most fearless driving, dangerous accidents, and tonnes of drama. The season went down to the last race with both title contenders: Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, on equal points. And fans couldn’t have asked for anything better than that going into the finale of the season.

The end of the 2021 season also marked the end of F1’s Hybrid era, which started in 2014. The era saw Mercedes winning all the constructors’ championships. And Lewis Hamilton as the most successful driver.

The testing of new cars, being launched in February, will take place in Barcelona and Bahrain. With the new season and era about to begin, we have a major update on the first race of the season: Bahrain GP. The schedule of the season opener is out and lays out important dates and events for the weekend in March.

The schedule of Bahrain GP has some changes compared to the usual schedules of races and seems to be a testing format. Albert Fabrega reports there will be no official activities on Thursday. That means the press conferences will take place on Friday morning. The FP1 and FP2 are scheduled for the same day as well.

Saturday of the weekend will feature FP3 and Qualifying. On Saturday, we might see the teams going the extra mile on their new cars before the race.
