Sky Sports analyst Bernie Collins has shared her thoughts on McLaren’s recent form this campaign. The Woking-based team finished P6 and P8 at the Brazilian Grand Prix after a woeful performance last Sunday.
McLaren has succeeded tremendously as a team in terms of performance throughout the season. The Papayas stand atop the Constructors’ Championship charts with 593 points. However, the team has lost significant points during specific races as well.
Collins has pinpointed such shortfalls to the lack of trust between the Papayas’ drivers and their pit wall. She has claimed that a good rapport with clear communication must be built to exponentially increase their results.

Andrea Stella says that it is ‘all to play for’ for McLaren post dismal Sao Paolo outing
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella has encouraged his team to keep their heads up after a lackluster outing at Interlagos last week. The wet conditions around the track compelled the Papayas’ to lose out on podiums for only the second time in 17 races.
Andrea Stella believes that his team is still in the running for both championships this season. Even though he has prioritized the constructors’ trophy, he hopes that the last two races will be a good run for McLaren.
The upcoming race at Las Vegas is the last street circuit of the F1 calendar. Street circuits have been fruitful to Ferrari this season. Nevertheless, all the top teams will be looking to secure the win at the end of this month.
