NASCAR’s race in Mexico City around the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit received very mixed opinions from the teams and drivers. Some people enjoyed the sport moving outside the US and racing at a new road course circuit. Meanwhile, many drivers were concerned with health issues, among others, as they traveled overseas for a single race. Now, Brad Keselowski, who finished in P25 in Mexico, makes a shocking revelation about the drivers’ health even after passing a week from the race.
Mexico is renowned for its rich culture and unique delicacies, something the NASCAR drivers got to experience after quite some time. However, traveling overseas comes with its own set of challenges. Many drivers struggled to adjust to the local water and food, feeling uneasy throughout the weekend. Meanwhile, some drivers refused to enjoy the local activities and just focused on the racing aspect of the weekend.
Many drivers were spotted being sick and feeling under the weather, purely due to the excessive traveling and new food habits. Due to this fear, some avoided drinking local water completely, ultimately causing dehydration and headaches during the races. Brad Keselowski, who didn’t feel the issues of the Mexico Cup Race as much, revealed that many drivers were still sick at Pocono.
Brad Keselowski took to X and shared his opinion on the aftereffects of racing in Mexico. The RFK star noted that many drivers were still sick and dehydrated from last week. Keselowski made a shocking revelation that he had never seen so many drivers sick altogether at the same time. As such, NASCAR will now be forced to decide whether to return to Mexico or not, keeping in mind the health problems of the majority of the people involved.
Most all of the drivers are still sick and dehydrated from last week. I’ve never seen so many sick drivers before the start of the race.

Brad Keselowski heaps massive praise on Amazon Prime’s NASCAR coverage
Amazon Prime entered the NASCAR arena and secured exclusive rights to stream five Cup Series races as part of the deal. The Pocono race was the final race out of the five rounds that Prime covered. The multi-trillion-dollar company covered multiple aspects of the race weekend and also showcased an exclusive post-race show with major highlights of the race. As such, Brad Keselowski applauded Amazon Prime’s NASCAR coverage and hoped that the company streams many more races in the future.

Brad Keselowski revealed that he loved how Amazon Prime had a post-race show, streaming the highlights without forcing people to watch the entire race. The three-time cup champion thanked the company and their benefits to the people viewing the race on a screen. Moreover, Keselowski pointed out that he hated how the Pocono weekend was the last race that Prime would cover as part of their deal.
I love that you guys have a post-race show because when I wanna know what happened in the race, I can watch the Amazon post show. I don’t have to re-watch the whole race. So thank you for that. Everybody at Amazon. I hate that this is your last race of the year.
Brad Keselowski said in a post-race interview, @kdsportswriter/X.
NASCAR has continued to gain traction in recent years due to such lucrative deals with major companies. The sport is likely to witness an upward trend in viewership as they become more open to trying out new things. The Mexico Cup Race’s F1-style podium celebration was one of the many tactics that the stock-car racing sport is testing and hoping for a boost in audience in the coming races.
