Ferrari started to showcase a decline in performance towards the latter half of the 2024 season. The Italian constructor hoped to showcase an impressive performance at the Singapore GP. However, Carlos Sainz deemed a highly disappointing end to the Q3 session after crashing his chassis during a fast lap.
Carlos Sainz just finished his out lap and was prepping to start his first fast lap of the Q3 session. The Spaniard had scored some good lap times during the practice sessions and had the potential of a front-row start. However, Sainz crashed at turn 18/19 and caused a Red Flag in the event.
As a result, Sainz will have to start the Singapore GP from the 10th spot after crashing his chassis. Hence, Ferrari will have to work overtime to fix the SF-24 for the Spaniard. Additionally, Sainz will have to fight hard on the track to move up the pecking order and help the team score massive points over the weekend.

The Singapore GP turned out to be extremely positive during Ferrari’s previous outing in 2023. However, as depicted in the qualifying session the team is highly unlikely to score great points. Time will tell about how the disappointing weekend ends for the Italian constructor.
