Charles Leclerc pinpoints advantage of ’emotionally flat’ Fred Vasseur at Ferrari

Ferrari secured a great upturn in performance in the 2024 season after coming close to scoring the constructors’ win against McLaren. The Italian constructor made minimal errors over the season under Fred Vasseur‘s leadership. Hence, Charles Leclerc talked highly of Vasseur and pinpointed one rather exceptional quality of the latter.
Fred Vasseur‘s leadership with Ferrari in the past two years has granted the team with improving results. The team looks promising of an assured championship contention if not victory in the coming season especially with Lewis Hamilton. Charles Leclerc, who also came close to finishing runner-up in 2024 Drivers’ standings claimed that Vasseur being ’emotionally flat’ helped Maranello a lot.
Leclerc furthered his compliments and added that the Frenchman managed the team well regardless of the emotions being good or super bad over a race weekend. The Monegasque revealed that twenty minutes after a race, Vasseur was ready for a meeting to discuss the performance. The 27-year-old pointed out that the 56-year-old put his emotions aside in the meeting which was a ‘huge quality’ to run Ferrari.
Fred Vasseur has always had ‘consistency’ while leading Ferrari
Fred Vasseur’s consistent efforts have helped Ferrari secure a huge difference in performance as compared to the earlier years. Charles Leclerc believed that the 56-year-old always ‘had it’ in himself to lead a team like Maranello. Leclerc reiterated the team principal’s ‘consistency’ in terms of personality. The 27-year-old recounted that whenever he visited Vassuer, he would have an predictable behavior and humor.
Ferrari has a massive advantage alongside Lewis Hamilton in the 2025 season. The highly experienced seven-time world champion alongside Leclerc would form a highly formidable pair. The final edition of the ground-effect era would be highly interesting as both the championships seem divided equally amongst multiple teams and drivers.
