Charles Leclerc‘s Belgian GP podium ended the streak of not being in top 3 in the last five races. The 2024 F1 season has seen seven different race winners across four different teams. Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were also one of them winning in Monaco and Australia. However, since Leclerc’s last win in Monaco, Ferrari has consistently failed to capitalize on podiums due to its own struggles. It was unexpected for Leclerc to secure P3 at Spa, as he was initially in P4 and moved up due to George Russell’s disqualification. However, Leclerc desires to see complete domination from Ferrari for the last 10 rounds remaining of the 2024 season.

Charles Leclerc stated that he really wishes Ferrari completely dominates the remaining season. This would make it less exciting but more successful for the team. However, he acknowledged that Ferrari hasn’t achieved the level of dominance yet. He noted that there is still a lot of work needed to reach that goal. The 26-year-old realized that the team still has many challenges to overcome to get where he wants them to be.

The biggest part of me wishes there was total domination by Ferrari and it will be a very boring season in that sense. But it's not, and we've still got a lot of work to do.
Charles Leclerc said, as reported by RacingNews365

Leclerc explained that, based on recent races, Ferrari is not currently in a strong position to compete for race wins. The team needs to concentrate on improving their own performance rather than worrying about their competitors. Therefore, the Monegasque reckoned it is best for the team to focus on getting better and fixing their issues before the summer break ends.

Obviously with the last few races, we are not in the momentum of fighting for wins at the moment. So we've just got to focus on ourselves.

Charles Leclerc reveals his best race from the last five rounds

Charles Leclerc noted that based on the last four to five races, Ferrari has been having a tough time and not performing well. However, he mentioned the race in Hungary was an exception. Despite finishing fourth in the grid, he considered that race a good one. This was because the team did the best they could and reached their full potential. The 26-year-old wishes that Ferrari would improve the issues they faced in the first stint of the season. This would eventually help him and Sainz bounce back in the remainder of the season.

At the moment, obviously looking at the last four or five races, we are in a moment where we have struggled more. Apart from Hungary which I consider quite a good one where we maximized our potential.
Charles Leclerc stated.

Certainly, Charles Leclerc mentioned they lacked a lot of performance during the last five races. According to him, the Hungarian GP was a good race with the unexpected Belgian GP podium becoming a cherry on top. However, he hopes Ferrari brings the necessary adjustments and they will be competitive again.
