The Formula 1 grid will return to the Miami GP in the coming weekend. The second American race on the calendar was highly beneficial to the sport due to the huge commercial boost. Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner advised Formula 1 to add a certain aspect which could further enhance the spectacle of the race.

Christian Horner explained that Formula 1 should drive directly into the Miami Dolphins‘ Hard Rock Stadium for the Miami GP. Currently, the circuit runs around the Stadium and not directly inside it. Hence, the team principal explained that the circuit wasn’t the ‘best racetrack’ but overall an enjoyable event. The 50-year-old further added that it would be ‘special’ if his advice was taken into action.

It's not the best racetrack in the world, but it's a fantastic event. It would be great if we could also go to the stadium. That would be special.
Christian Horner said, as reported by motorsport-total.com.

However, this advice isn’t possible in practicality as the Formula 1 paddock is placed inside the stadium. The hospitality buildings of Red Bull and Ferrari have also been placed on the ground and make it impossible to race through there. Fans take a seat in the stands and look over the proceedings on the ground during the Miami GP. Hence, Formula 1 would likely not include the insides of the stadium on the circuit.

Christian Horner confident that the third year of the Miami GP will be ‘even better’

Regardless of Horner’s advice being taken into account, the team principal is looking forward to the first American weekend of 2024. The 50-year-old claimed that Miami was a special place to race in Formula 1. Additionally, the Briton highlighted that the second year of the race was better than the inaugural Miami GP. Hence, Horner is confident of an even better event during the third year of the Miami GP.

Miami is such a special place to race, The second year in Miami was better than the first, and I have no doubt that the third year will be even better.
Christian Horner noted.

Horner even took note of the sprint race that will be held for the first time around Miami’s Hard Rock circuit. The team principal explained that Formula 1 racing in America was ‘something special’ due to the country’s fans. The 50-year-old pointed out the fact that a lot of fans will be attracted by the American weekend. Hence, the entire weekend would be a ‘big deal’ for the world of Formula 1.

But driving in the US is always something special,I think we'll attract a lot of fans again. So it's always a big deal.
Christian Horner concluded.

The Miami GP sprint weekend will be of great excitement for the teams and the drivers. The teams have already prepared for the sprint weekend after the Chinese GP. Hence, multiple constructors will excel over the weekend. Red Bull will likely showcase another one of the dominant performances at the circuit and also score yet another race victory in the 2024 season.
