Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has shared his thoughts on Sergio Perez‘s poor run this season. Horner has been a constant supporter of the six-time Grand Prix winner throughout his underperforming spell.

Sergio Perez has amassed only 11 points in the last five races after signing a contract extension with Red Bull. The 34-year-old’s performance has seen a steep decline since the Imola GP, despite starting the 2024 season on a convincing note.

I think he's been in a bit of a head-spin the last few races, but hopefully today were the signs that he's coming out of that. The team are working very hard with him to support him and make sure that he does re-find his form, because we desperately need it.

It has been a good Friday, I think we made a good step from FP1 to FP2, we made the right changes and took the right direction. This is the most comfortable I have felt with the car at this stage of the weekend in a while.
