Multiple drivers have lamented the Next-Gen cars for their lack of power. Seasoned veterans have asked NASCAR to increase the power to about 1000HP, which would help them overtake easily on straights. Subsequently, a debate was raised by a small set of fans regarding whether NASCAR should incorporate the push to pass system that IndyCar has in their cars. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is not all sold about the proposal.

NASCAR has been constantly on the receiving end of criticism for its lack of power. On the other hand, fans have complained about the lack of overtakes and entertainment throughout races. This led to NASCAR bringing in key changes like the mono-lug pitstops and much more. However, these efforts paled in comparison to Indycar, who brought in a system of push to pass, which allowed drivers to access more power for a certain duration enabling them to overtake easily.

He further stated that if driver assists like push to pass were provided to drivers, then they should be given steering assists, and brake assists, and subsequently declined the suggestion with his sarcastic reply.

No, what? Nah man. If you can’t pass ’em sorry, not gonna give you an assist. How about if they are gonna give a push-to-pass, just might as well give them steering assist.
