Former British driver Damon Hill has praised Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc for his winning mentality in Formula 1. Leclerc has secured seven wins along with 39 podiums so far for the Maranello-based team.

Charles Leclerc is currently one of the most talented drivers on the grid. The Monegasque has won the Monaco and Monza races this year in commendable fashion. He has established himself as a worthy competitor but has not yet mounted a very serious title fight.

I would not discount George Russell. I think George is definitely a contender. And Charles Leclerc is a typical Ferrari driver in many ways. It’s win or bust with Charles, it seems to me, but you can win a championship like that.

Despite his best efforts this season, Leclerc finds himself third in the Drivers’ Championship with 245 points. He will now focus on helping Ferrari fight collectively to win the Constructors’ title.

Charles Leclerc envisions a bright future for Ferrari in the coming years

Charles Leclerc has said that Ferrari will surely improve more and more as the years go by. The 26-year-old claimed that the key to improvement lies in the team’s optimization and betterment with the help of their resources.

The goal is to always make it better, so I would say that ’25 will be good, ’26 will be better and ’27 will be even better and we optimise everything. But as I said, it’s all relative. Everybody within the paddock, there is not one team that is getting worse from one year to the other, but it’s how much of a step forward the others have done.

Leclerc has however cited that all the teams are improving in a similar manner, which makes Ferrari’s task much more difficult. The team will therefore seek to focus on keeping its head down and working diligently to claim the title in the near future.
