Daniel Ricciardo claims ‘crazy things’ can happen amidst Sergio Pérez’s potential 2025 sacking rumours

Visa Cash App RB driver Daniel Ricciardo, has indirectly shared his thoughts on Sergio Perez‘s situation at Red Bull. Several rumors have suggested that the Austrian outfit is seeking to replace Perez with Ricciardo if the Mexican continues to underperform in Formula 1.
Sergio Perez has been under much scrutiny after a string of unconvincing performances since the Emilia Romagna GP. Perez has amassed only 11 points in the last five races, which has cost Red Bull immensely in the championship battle.
Amidst all the rumours, Ricciardo has recently come up with a certain statement.

Daniel Ricciardo has not been a worthy performer for his team this campaign, he has scored a mere 11 points across 11 races. Thus, Red Bull could look for a more competent driver even if they want to replace Perez next year. For the Australian driver to have any shot at the 2025 Red Bull seat, he will have to work his socks off in the remaining races this year.
Daniel Ricciardo claims RB ‘struggled more’ at Silverstone than expected
RB finished the British GP in P10 and P13 in a struggling afternoon amidst varying weather conditions. Daniel Ricciardo has claimed that the team performed worse than he had initially expected.

Ricciardo has elaborated that the team was expecting a major turnaround in their performances in the 52-lap race. RB has shown signs of improvement since the past few races but was pegged back to square one after a poor outing at Silverstone.
The 35-year-old driver has since claimed of the need for a proper inspection along with a thorough discussion about the VCARB01. Ricciardo desperately wants to know what went wrong for RB despite putting in the work. The upcoming races at Budapest and Spa will give a fair idea of whether RB has resolved its challenger issues or not.
