Visa Cash App RB has announced Daniel Ricciardo‘s departure from the team after the Singapore Grand Prix. RB is set to replace Ricciardo with Liam Lawson for the remainder of the 2024 F1 season.
Daniel Ricciardo has been one of the most talented drivers in the history of Formula 1. Having made his debut in 2011, the Australian has raced for HRT, Red Bull, McLaren, RB, and Renault in his career. He has also amassed a total of eight Grand Prix victories and 32 podiums.
Ricciardo shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram account following the announcement of his departure. The 35-year-old has thanked everyone associated with him in the sport, along with his dearest fans.
I’ve loved this sport my whole life. It’s wild and wonderful and been a journey. To the teams and individuals that have played their part, thank you. To the fans who love the sport sometimes more than me haha thank you. It’ll always have its highs and lows but it’s been fun and truth be told I wouldn’t change it. Until the next adventure.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has been associated to Daniel Ricciardo since the start of the 2014 season. Horner has since shared his thoughts on the Honey Badger’s departure from RB and Formula 1.
From the moment you arrived at Red Bull it was obvious you were so much more than just a driver. Your constant enthusiasm, sense of humour and attitude will leave an indelible legacy on the Team here in Milton Keynes and F1 as a whole. Thank you for the wins, smiles, songs (and I wish I could say the shoeys), you will always be a special part of the Red Bull Family.

Christian Horner has emphasized on the special bond between himself and Ricciardo on his Instagram story. The 50-year-old has thanked the Australian for his commendable performances and contributions to the team and to the grid as a whole.
Ricciardo’s departure now open’s up a possibility for Liam Lawson to demonstrate his true qualities as an F1 driver. He was previously impressive in a temporary stint for AlphaTauri (RB) last season. Lawson will therefore try and make even better efforts to land a permanent role on the grid for 2025.
