Daniel Ricciardo not willing to ‘hand over’ F1 seat amidst 2025 Liam Lawson rumors

Visa Cash App RB driver Daniel Ricciardo‘s up-and-down form has been a cause of concern for the team this season. Ricciardo has amassed only 12 points in over 14 races, experiencing one of the poorest spells in his F1 career.
Contrary to Daniel Ricciardo, a new name has emerged as a viable candidate for the revered RB seat for next year. Red Bull/RB (AlphaTauri) reserve driver, Liam Lawson, impressed many during his short spell in 2023 while filling in for the injured Australian.
The eight-time race winner has, however, refurbished faith in himself while claiming to be worthy of his seat. Ricciardo has also admitted that this is his last chance to prove his worth to the grid in the upcoming years.

RB has always been proclaimed as a junior team of Red Bull, which makes Liam Lawson‘s chance seem more likely than ever. But, the 35-year-old driver will still try his luck to perform after the summer break with hopes of retaining the seat for 2025.

Ricciardo has spoken on the decisions and intentions of RB upon the conclusion of a change in the junior team status. The eight-time race winner has said that the incorporation of new personnel into RB has brought about a radical turnaround in the team’s ideologies.
The Milton-Keynes sister outfit has been on an upward trajectory in comparison to their previous seasons. They will now look to carry forward the same momentum to maximize the potential of their hard work during the second half of the 2024 season.
