Visa Cash App RB driver Daniel Ricciardo has been far from his best self on the grid this season. Ricciardo has scored only 12 points in 14 races for RB, enduring one of the toughest spells in his F1 career.

Daniel Ricciardo made a headline return to AlphaTauri (RB) during the second half of 2023 after being away from the grid for about a year. However, the 35-year-old has not been exceptionally brilliant on track, which has provoked many to criticize him.

Ricciardo has talked of the need to prove his worth on the track during the second half of the ongoing campaign. He dreams of a fairytale return to Red Bull but has fallen short of potent results so far.

The 35-year-old has shown faith in himself and is confident of notching exemplary results for RB after the summer break. He will now seek to reflect on his shortfalls to get back up to speed for the Dutch GP this month.

Daniel Ricciardo gets a boost in 2024 driver ratings compared to Sergio Perez

The much-awaited driver ratings for the F1 2024 game were released on Friday. Daniel Ricciardo is rated 83, which is higher than his ranking from the previous year at the pinnacle of motor racing.

On the other hand, Sergio Perez has got a drop in his ratings and is currently rated 85. Perez’s form has been the talk amongst many in the paddock this season. He has scored only 24 points in the last seven races, failing to show his worth to the Milton Keynes outfit.

Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez have since been involved in a prolonged battle for the revered Red Bull seat in 2025. But neither have been up to par with the standards of the Austrian team this season. They will now make desperate efforts to deliver results after the summer break, with hopes of retaining their seats.
