“Disrespect to the greatest race” – Fans react as Le Mans X account responds to Red Bull forgetting the iconic race
Red Bull's X account posted an unexpected meme after forgetting the 24 hours of Le Mans was scheduled over the non-race weekend in Formula 1.

The 24 hours of Le Mans is loved by several motorsport fans around the world due to the sheer amount of racing action. The event is conducted for a total of 24 hours around the French circuit, Circuit de la Sarthe. The 2024 edition was kicked off on 15th June and is slated to come to a close sometime soon. Hence, the race fell between the non-F1 race weekend this time around.
Red Bull Racing’s X account is usually humorous and participates in the meme culture. The account posts hilarious memes regarding F1 drivers and teams during a race weekend. However, this time around, Red Bull posted an image of Max Verstappen looking bored and sad. Additionally, the image was captioned that this was the feeling of everyone during a non-race weekend.

This meant that the Red Bull racing’s admin forgot about one of the greatest races in the history of Motorsport, the 24 hours of Le Mans. Hence, the official X account of Le Mans was quick to respond to this untoward post. The French page sarcastically said, ‘Well actually…’ and tried to shift the attention of the fans towards the WEC.

Fans unhappy with Red Bull’s X account post regarding the non-race weekend
In a recent tweet on X, multiple fans showcased their resentment towards Red Bull’s post. One fan claimed that the post was disrespectful to one of the greatest races. Additionally, another fan hinted that Red Bull’s absence from WEC was the reason for their boredom during the 24 hours of Le Mans. Subsequently, another fan added that people expected way too much from an energy drink company.

Meanwhile, one fan claimed that F1 would be interesting if it was the Hypercar series. In addition to this, a particular fan claimed that Red Bull was ‘salty’ after not being involved in the WEC series. Another fan highlighted that the 24 hours of Le Mans was much better than F1.

Multiple F1 drivers even attended the WEC over the weekend including Pierre Gasly. Hence, the WEC continues to be one of the most pristine racing formats in the history of motorsport. Fans from all around the world attend the WEC race despite it being held for over 24 hours. Additionally, the inclusion of three different drivers over the span of 24 hours makes the race more exciting.
