Ferrari Team Principal Fredric Vasseur is optimistic for the Spanish GP this weekend. The Frenchman believes whatever happened in Canada is in the past. Ferrari has resolved the issues faced by both the drivers during the race in Montreal.

Fred Vasseur stated that Ferrari faced every problem in the world during the Montreal weekend, which was a rare occurrence. The Frenchman acknowledged that the Scuderia had some successful moments in their performance in Canada, especially in certain aspects. Maranello was now focused on addressing the areas where things didn’t go well for them. Vasseur reckoned, this is the matter of fixing the weaknesses while building the strengths from Montreal.

I think in Canada we had all the problems in the world on the same weekend. I think it's an isolated case, but overall I think in Montreal we also had some positives in terms of performance in some phases. We just have to work on the negative sides.

The Frenchman commented, that these problems occurred during the season, but overall teams equipment has demonstrated reliability which is definitely a positive aspects. Vasseur hoped, the issues they faced was just a isolated incident which won’t reoccur in the future.

Fredric Vasseur claims competition at the front will be intense as Mercedes joining the fight

The Frenchman explained, competition at the front will not be easy as Mercedes has introduced then in the mix. He highlighted the upcoming races will be tough and closely contested until the very end. Vasseur states, the difference between gaining and losing two or three positions has often been as small as one-tenth of a second.

Fred Vasseur explained, his team is ready to dedicate their efforts and resources to the competition. The team members are working tirelessly to stay ahead in the competition and perform well each race. The 56-year-old stated, this focused approach of his team will continue up until the end of the season. This will ensure they’re doing everything possible to achieve success.

It means that we have to put all our resources into the fight: we are pushing hard to anticipate the right to do a good job in terms of functioning on the track and it will be like this until the end.
