Oscar Piastri’s maiden victory in Hungary proved that he has what it takes to be a Grand Prix winner. Piastri has been performing strongly this season after winning the Hungarian GP and securing P2 in Belgium. Looking at his unwavering performance, Alpine’s Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore claimed the Australian holds the abilities of becoming a world champion.
Flavio Briatore believes that Oscar Piastri has the potential to become a Formula 1 World Champion. He reckons that even if Piastri doesn’t win the championship next year, he will still be a strong contender in the future. Briatore was influenced to comment because of the performance the Australian pulled during the Hungarian GP. He demonstrated that he’s not only got the pace but the right composure and abilities to be a world champion. Therefore, the Italian is confident that the 23-year-old will remain a key figure in Formula 1, whether he wins the title soon or later on in his career.

Briatore admired Webber’s loyalty and how he always fulfilled his responsibilities. He said that the 47-year-old had impressed him more than anyone else in the sport. There were also rumors that Webber played a key role in helping the 23-year-old break free from his contract with Alpine in 2022.
