The Las Vegas GP was an extremely controversial and disappointing race for Ferrari. Both drivers faced the consequences of a botched strategy from the team and could only score a P3 and P4 finish. Charles Leclerc took to the team radio and abused the situation while Carlos Sainz maintained silence. Eddie Jordan also shared his piece of mind over the team’s issues with the American race.

Carlos Sainz had to pit ahead of Charles Leclerc to contend for a better finish. Ferrari made the call for Sainz to pit but changed minds mid-race as he had to pull out of the pit at the last moment. Eddie Jordan pointed out how the Spaniard had already made his way into the pit lane. Jordan labeled the move as ‘cr*p’ as the 30-year-old could’ve faced serious consequences.

Jordan furthered his claim and pointed out that Ferrari consistently screwed up. According to the Irishman, Luca Montezemolo was the last team principal to successfully control the team. However, the current personnel was in shambles from time to time during races. Jordan believed that this situation wasn’t going to improve anytime soon.

We’ve seen right from our day – I think Luca Montezemolo was about the only one who could control the team – but consistently, Ferrari have screwed up, haven’t they? They screw up with the wrong tyres, they screw up with this. I mean, it’s just shambolic from time to time, and we think it’s going to improve.

Charles Leclerc hurled multiple abuses on the team radio and refused to be the nice guy anymore. The 26-year-old didn’t hesitate to call out Ferrari on their botched strategy against Sainz which led to the former losing a podium finish. Upon this, Eddie Jordan highlighted he never thought he would hear something like this from Leclerc during a race.

Ferrari is currently in the running for the 2024 constructors’ championship with just two races remaining. Hence, the Maranello-based outfit must seriously mend their ways to aim for the win. The Woking-based McLaren is leading the pack with just a 24-point lead.
