From Russell’s Instagram stories and his most recent post, it is quite evident that he is putting in a proper shift ahead of the resumption of the 2024 season. Moreover, he is also helping his mom try her hand at some of the exercises.
Russell even came up with a heartwarming caption for her mom while she was doing a particular exercise.

The Toto Wolff-led Mercedes has done an ‘exceptional job’
While George Russell is at it in the gym ahead of the United States GP, Williams boss James Vowles has showered huge praise on Mercedes. The latter genuinely feels the Brackley-based team is in a very good position for 2026.

Mercedes started its preparations regarding the new dawn of F1 very early compared to other teams.
I think Mercedes have done an exceptional job, which is why I was very happy to re-sign back up for an extension to it. I think that will change in ’26 and you’ll see a difference between the power units. I just don’t think it’ll be the levels you saw in 2014 where there was such a wide spread between the field.

George Russell will have a new teammate during the 2025 season in the form of Kimi Antonelli. As a result, the former will be the lead driver on the team with Lewis Hamilton moving to Ferrari at the end of this year.
Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, exciting times are ahead of the Mercedes F1 team. From 2025 onward, several eyes will be on the Russell-Antonelli pair in the post-Hamilton era of the German team. They could be with the team for many years if things go well.
