Helmut Marko in an interview was asked about Ferrari’s technical director’s recent departure. Marko stated that Ferrari lost an important person, the chassis manager Enrico Cardile. Following this departure, the 81-year-old added that they’re waiting to see what will happen with Adrian Newey, who will be leaving Red Bull in 2025. Various rumors suggest that the British engineer will go to either Ferrari or McLaren. However, Newey hasn’t decided yet where he wants to land for 2025. Marko is curious to see which team the British engineer will join

Adrian Newey stated that he had been thinking about taking on a challenge to design a Hypercar for Red Bull which is estimated around $6.2 million. This idea has been mulling around Newey for many years. He described the project as an amazing journey. As the day had come to reveal the car, the RB17, he found it truly remarkable. Newey expressed how special it is to see all the hard work and planning finally come to life. This project has been a long time in the making, and seeing the final product is a proud and exciting moment for him and the team.

I had been mulling around the idea to take on the challenge to design our very own Hypercar, from concept to delivery, for many years and it has been a magnificent project and journey. For it to finally be the day we pull the covers off and see the birth of the RB17, is truly remarkable.
