Formula One Management (FOM) rejected Andretti Cadillac‘s bid to join the Formula 1 grid in 2026 despite promising prospects. Regardless, a majority of the people present on the grid sided with Andretti over the status quo. Red Bull’s development driver Jake Dennis supported the American bid. Dennis claimed that the project was reaching equivalent numbers to Haas in terms of staff.

Jake Dennis sided with Andretti over the entire matter and pointed out the benefits that the American constructor put forth despite being rejected by FOM. According to Dennis, Andretti deserved every possible chance in the pinnacle of motorsport. The Red Bull driver currently competes for Andretti in Formula E. Hence, the 28-year-old pointed towards the constructor’s achievements in different categories of motorsport. Additionally, Andretti has already started setting up a factory in Silverstone despite being rejected.

I completely think that Andretti deserves every possible chance in Formula 1, they've won enough in other categories, They're world champions in Formula E, champions in IndyCar, they've won many, many races and the budget is almost endless.
Jake Dennis said, as reported by racingnews365.com.

Apart from this, Dennis pointed out that Andretti had ‘incredible resources’ available. Additionally, The American bid was already close to Haas in terms of staff employment. Hence, if the team keeps pushing in this direction, F1 would need to reconsider the it’s proposal. However, the 28-year-old asserted that he would be ‘quite old’ by the time this could happen in the world of Formula 1.

We have incredible resources behind us, and now we're employing more and more people and are not too far off the employment that Haas has already - and that is just a quarter of what we want to achieve.
Jake Dennis noted.

Jake Dennis claims that Andretti’s bid would bring a ‘competitive American team’ to the F1 grid

Jake Dennis was all praises for the entire bid that Andretti put forth to join the F1 grid. Dennis asserted that it was great to be a part of Andretti with the way the team was already developing their headquarters. The 28-year-old took a jibe at Haas’ recent performances while pointing out the benefits of Andretti. Dennis mentioned that Andretti’s bid would allow the entry of a ‘competitive American team’ considering General Motors’ involvement as the power units supplier. Presently Haas is the sole American team in F1 and has had a string of woeful seasons.

It is great to be a part of Andretti in this exciting time with the headquarters we're building in America and at Silverstone... It would be a competitive American racing team with a big engine behind it.
Jake Dennis declared.

Apart from this, the Englishman mentioned that two American brands working together would be something unique in Formula 1. Additionally, Dennis claimed that the grid had enough space available to accommodate the 11th team. Hence, the Formula E champion remains keen to watch the American constructor enter Formula 1 as a new team on the grid.

I think it will be exciting for Andretti to come into F1 and they've got the space for it as well. They've only got 20 cars on the grid, and there is enough space for 11 teams.
Jake Dennis asserted.

Only time will tell if Andretti-Cadillac’s bid is eventually accepted by FOM for a future season. However, as things are, FOM likely won’t budge in their decision. Nevertheless, the American racing team has made it clear that it will continue its efforts to get a spot on the F1 grid.
