Ex-F1 driver claims McLaren’s 2024 charge will help Ferrari fight for ‘Constructors Championship’ against the mighty Red Bull

The former F1 driver, Jean Alesi has spoken highly of the revival of Ferrari after their mighty win in Monte Carlo. McLaren and Ferrari have picked up their pace during the ongoing 2024 campaign and are giving a tough fight to the Red Bulls.
Jean Alesi spoke in praise of Ferrari Team Principal, Fred Vasseur, saying that the new boss has given the outfit an aim and the direction they needed. Alesi also admitted that Red Bull appears to be in a position of distress without their magician designer, Adrian Newey, who has decided to leave the team at the end of the season.
Alesi has compared the tactics and aura of Fred Vasseur to that of the legendary, Jean Todt, who was the team principal of Ferrari during the dominant Michael Schumacher era. He further hopes that the new engineers will be able to manufacture a strong power unit in 2026, with the onset of the new regulations.

Marc Gene feels Ferrari now looks upon an unavoidable title race
Ferrari ambassador, Marc Gene spoke about the Italian outfit’s position to challenge for the world championship this season. Gene has highly praised Ferrari for the powerful turnaround in performances this season.
I know we shouldn’t look, and Fred says don’t look at the championship, but it’s unavoidable. You look at the championship and 20 something points is nothing. But we enjoy that now and we’ll see what happens after.Marc Gene said in an appearance on F1 Nation podcast.
Marc Gene has urged Charles Leclerc and Co. to look beyond the horizon and dream suitably of winning the World Championship. He also highlighted that consistency and persistence are the key aspects for a strong run this year.
