Daniel Ricciardo recently faced an extremely disappointing end to his RB stint in F1. The Aussie currently faces massive uncertainty over his future in the pinnacle of motorsport after having no prospects with any present teams on the grid. However, despite the uncertainty, Ex-F1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya advised Ricciardo to follow a similar path to Mick Schumacher.
Daniel Ricciardo has already been considered for an ambassadorial role at the US GP, alongside Christian Horner opening the door for a potential Red Bull return. Juan Pablo Montoya claimed that there was ‘life after F1’ and put Mick Schumacher as the best example. The German faced a disappointing end to his F1 career and was still Mercedes’ reserve and a driver in the WEC for Alpine.
Montoya felt that Ricciardo could do the same due to being a big personality. Ricciardo’s huge following and popularity would enable him to fit right into the role. Subsequently, the Colombian cheekily took a dig at himself and pointed out the difference between the Aussie and him and how he could do better on Instagram.
Daniel Ricciardo could ‘find a seat in anything’
Daniel Ricciardo is one of the most loved drivers in the history of F1. The Honey Badger was popular enough to amass a seat in any category of motorsport. Regardless, Juan Pablo Montoya questioned what Ricciardo should do after exiting the pinnacle of motorsport and highlighted how the latter was famous enough to gain a seat in ‘anything’.
Multiple individuals had berated RB for giving a disappointing end to Daniel Ricciardo’s legendary career. The Aussie was and is still loved by everyone on the grid and his exit teared up many in the paddock. Regardless, Ricciardo will move on to better things in life and hope to excel in them all while donning his infectious smile.
