Kimi Raikkonen responds to fans’ demand of getting Iceman Jr. Robin to follow his F1 career
Kimi Raikkonen provided more clarity over the possibility of his son Robin following in his father's footsteps and racing in Formula 1.

Kimi Raikkonen had retired from Formula 1 after scoring a highly impressive streak of performances. The Iceman decided to prioritize his duties as a father to his family and spend more time with them. Raikkonen is a father to three lovely kids, named, Robin, Rianna, and Grace. Hence, the 44-year-old voiced his opinion on his son Robin potentially participating in Formula 1.
Multiple drivers from the pinnacle of motorsport often force or encourage their kids to pursue a career in the same. However, such wasn’t the case for Kimi Raikkonen. The Finn noted that he became busy ever since his retirement from the sport. Raikkonen claimed he was a mechanic for his son Robin who was actively participating in Go-Karting.

Raikkonen highlighted that Robin was enjoying his life while karting under the junior category. Additionally, the Iceman didn’t decline the possibility of his son joining the pinnacle of motorsport. The Finn further showcased his great fatherhood skills and claimed that his son was having fun in the process, which mattered the most.

Kimi Raikkonen revealed he doesn’t watch Formula 1 races ‘much’ after retirement
Kimi Raikkonen enjoyed racing in Formula 1 for over 19 years with multiple constructors. However, the Iceman claimed that he wasn’t able to watch many races anymore due to family duties. Regardless, Raikkonen would occasionally watch the races if they were displayed on television. Hence, despite having an interest, the 44-year-old didn’t know everything about the sport as much as he used to.
Not much, because there’s always something that we’re doing with the kids and the family, [There's] been times when we’ve been home and it’s been on TV, I will watch, I still have the interest, but I don’t know everything like I used to.Kimi Raikkonen noted
The Iceman’s son Robin would surely have great support behind him if he ever decides to join Formula 1. Kimi Raikkonen is a highly respected name in the community as he continues to make occasional appearances. However, time will tell if Robin ultimately be able to make it into the sport or not.
