It was Daniel’s last race in F1 for a while and perhaps forever. It was a rather half-hearted and confusing exit from the team perspective. The fans rewarded him with driver of the day as a farewell present and that leaves him with a tally of 257 starts, eight wins, three poles and 32 podiums. And an awful lot of smiles and happy fans.

I don’t know. It’s exhausting. We all know that. It’s exhausting. Look, if this is it and things move on without me I think firstly I will give myself time to figure out what’s next. I am also grateful for the career. Getting to F1 was a dream let alone being here for over a decade and having the chance to fight for wins.
