The current season of Formula 1 is introduced with a rule change which dictates the aerodynamic performances of the car to be run using the ground effect. The German, Sebastian Vettel commented on this by saying “It’s hard to imagine we’d ever be racing around Imola in ground effect cars – that’s really something special, and a bit of a throwback to the 1980s, which is cool. Imola is a real test of driver and machine, and that’s what every F1 circuit should be.”

The four time world champion, Sebastian Vettel opined further about the Imola track layout saying “Few circuits are more old-school: there’s so little run-off and you must make set-up trade-offs for a fast and flowing lap, so it’s about bravery and finding the limits as quickly and consistently as possible.”

Sebastian Vettel has not had a lot of laps under his belt in his new Aston Martin car. All eyes remain on how fast can the German get upto pace on a weekend which sees one less practice session due to the sprint race format.
