The fans have been in awe of Verstappen’s skill which led to him winning his second consecutive championship. However, the praise does not solely lie with the driver; Adrian Newey the brains behind designing the car which led Verstappen to his championship must be given credit as well.

Newey is considered one of the best engineers in Formula 1, his designs have won numerous titles and a total of 190 Grand Prix wins. he has won 10 constructors’ championships with three different Formula 1 teams and has also won the Driver’s Championship with 7 different drivers.

The F1 community has praised Newey’s designs and they truly believe he is a once-in-a-lifetime genius to have graced the sport of F1. His designs have won three teams several championships in F1 and have helped seven different drivers win Driver’s Championships as well. He is considered one of the most brilliant engineers in F1 and is praised by both the drivers as well as the fans.

F1 Reddit reacts to Adrian Newey’s brilliant designs throughout the years

F1 fans took to Reddit to praise Newey and also to compare his designs as the years progressed. The comments made by the fans are very interesting and provide an idea of the perspective with which the fans view the cars designed by Newey.

Comments such as, “This is one of the aspects of the sport that I like. It’s great to see engineers treated with as much regard as the drivers,” and, “I agree the technical aspect of F1 is just as exciting(to me) as the driving aspect. One thing I love as well is the drivers who were able to help develop the car and make genius inventions like Dan Gurney did with the Gurney flap or Niki Lauda helping make Ferrari great again in the 70s,” were among the notable ones in the thread.
