Alex Albon adopts Jacques Villeneuve’s platinum blonde hair – a bid to replicate the Canadian’s success at the same age of 26?

Alex Albon and Jacques Villeneuve

The Williams Racing team is one of the most iconic teams in F1 history. Frank Williams led the team to exceptional glory during the team’s golden days. Unfortunately, those times are long as the British outfit presently struggles to score points regularly. However, it seems that Alex Albon might have exactly what the team needs to finally win the F1 world championship again.

Alex Albon recently decided to color his hair platinum blonde. This shade was famously donned by 1997 world champion, Jacques Villeneuve. Additionally, Villeneuve won his world title at Albon’s present age of 26. Jacques also happens to be the last Williams world champion after the Canadian triumphed in the 1997 F1 season. Correspondingly, this might provide Alex with the chance to recreate history.

Alex Albon has the same age and hair color as Jacques Villeneuve in 1997. Certainly, it is even more of a coincidence considering Albon is at Williams as well. Although, such chances rarely get replicated in sports such as Formula 1. However, Williams would perhaps want all luck by its side this year as the team looks to improve in 2023. Subsequently, Alex’s new hair color is perhaps a good thing to have.

Can Alex Albon really replicate Jacques Villeneuve’s 1997 F1 title victory?

Alex Albon will be working with Williams for long-term success

Williams has struggled in F1 for the past few years now. The iconic team was even sold off to new owners Dorilton Capital in a bid to secure its future. Unfortunately, the British outfit failed to capitalize on the new 2022 regulations and finished last in the standings. The Grove-based team does look to move up the pecking order this year. However, it seems that Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant perhaps won’t stand on the top step of the podium in 2023.

F1 is an unpredictable sport. Thus, it might just happen that Alex Alon finds a way to shock the paddock. Similar to Esteban Ocon’s surprise victory at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix. Though, such instances aside, Williams at best can arguably achieve a few good points-scoring finishes this season. Hence, fans will be disappointed as Albon’s hair color does not help in replicating Jacques Villeneuve‘s world champion.

Nonetheless, Alex Albon and the Williams team are set to give their level best in 2023. Albon has reportedly left the Red Bull family, as the Thai driver seeks to build the Williams team around him. Alex will play a key role in the British outfit’s development in the foreseeable future. Certainly, this combination might be a delight for fans if it eventually does succeed in bringing home some decent results.
