Chandok while talking about the situation said, “Honestly I would go with either Alex Albon, I think you know he has got good experience now of the current generation of an F1 car, he’s doing a very good job at Williams and he’d be somebody who could step into a role of working to build Aston Martin alongside Lance.

“But you could also go for someone outside the current paddock. Nyck de Vries, Oscar Piastri you know are the two names that have been on the list.”

While Karun Chandok prefers Albon, former motorsports racing driver Jonny Herbert has put his money on the highly rated Oscar Piastri.

Herbert while backing Piastri said, “I‘d go for Oscar I think, someone who’s gone into F2 and he’s gone bang, and it’s always important from a drivers’ perspective where there’s a bit of a wow factor and that’s exactly what he’s done coming through. So I think Oscar for me would be my choice but I do like Alex as well.
