The last few races are more about holding on than anything else. But you don't want to have that mindset. You still want to be aggressive and push on. But it will be tricky.

Albon also appreciated the Mexican GP performance from AlphaTauri and claimed that the team had overtaken Williams in terms of pace. The 27-year-old also claimed that the Brazilian circuit will suit the AT04 more than the Williams FW45. Additionally, Albon claimed that the race would be tough.

Alex Albon discusses the lack of updates to the AT04

The British team has not been updating the car since the Canadian GP. The team decided to focus on the car’s development for the next season and decided against bringing any new updates. Albon claimed that the team needs to take advantage of any opportunity that arises in the races.

The FW45 was still very competitive on the grid. Regardless of the lack of development on the car, the Thai driver added that the car feels ‘old’ despite the latest update being just four months ago.

The driver took encouragement from the Mexican GP, where he finished ninth and canceled out two of the six points scored by Daniel Ricciardo. The team is showing great improvement in the late season and is looking hopeful of finishing seventh in the championship. The $35 million reward seems all for the British team to keep.
