Alpha Romeo Formula One team has had a unique run so far in the 2023 season, which saw them having a poor start before making good progress ahead of the mid-season break. The team is determined to progress further as they announced two major car upgrades that will come once the season resumes.

Alpha Romeo is currently ranked in the ninth (9th) position in the 2023 F1 Constructors’ Championship Standings with nine points. Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas are in sixteenth and fifteenth standing, respectively, in the Championship Standings, where the Chinees driver has four points while Finn has five points.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, the team manager, has stated that they need to improve the quality of their cars. He pointed out that the Italian team has decided against taking a step-by-step approach and will make a significant development to C43. The major improvements will come in Monza and Suzuka.

We have a plan for this second half of the season. The next big improvement will come at Monza and we will have another important one for Suzuka. What is clear is that we need improvements like this; a tenth is not enough,” Alunni Brav said, as reported by Soymotor.

Alunni Bravi went on to list out the major aims of the team in the transformation era they have found themselves. They want to make the site more stable and also are focused on keeping both of their drivers for one more seaosn, given it’s a win-win situation for the parties involved.

We are a team that is in a transformation process, and we try to be as much stable as possible in all areas. Our target is to keep both drivers in our team next year but, of course, there must be all the elements in place to have a win-win situation,” Bravi said.

The Alpha Romeo C43 is a stable competitor but lacks aerodynamic stability as compared to the other teams on the 2023 formula one grid. They have a slight single-speed advantage over its lower mid-table rivals, but they consistently failed to do the same the whole race.
