The AlphaTauri F1 team had a fascinating 2023 F1 season. From starting the campaign on the back foot to managing a solid comeback by the closing stages, they had quite a run. While the sport is currently at a halt, the AlphaTauri technical director, Jody Egginton has taken the time to shed some light on the team’s approach for this year.

AlphaTauri was only able to amass a total of 25 points in the Constructors Championship this year. The AT04 was nowhere near the liveries of the midfield runners and because of this, the Faneza-based outfit was only able to manage a disappointing eighth-place finish.

However, with a new season just around the corner, there is immense optimism in the Alphatauri camp. Jody Egginton told Autosport;

[Last] year everyone in the team was flat out trying to get everything to the car as quickly as we can, which is what you want to do in Formula 1. But we want to be able to take a more measured and consistent approach. And if the car is a bit stronger out of the box at the start of the season, we can refine the approach we want to do, and that'll be a good measure of the progress we're making.

Looking at the reaction of Brit, it is quite clear that AlphaTauri wants to do a very productive 2024 season of the pinnacle of motor racing. Moreover, Egginton has indicated that if their 2024 car proves strong from the get-go, then it would bode really well for the team for the whole campaign.

AlphaTauri’s Red Bull connection has been in immense debate in recent times

While AlphaTauri is determined to make a positive impression during the 2024 F1 season, their relationship with Red Bull has recently been the talk of the town. McLaren boss, Zak Brown has recently raised questions about it and urged the decision-makers to have a thorough look into it.

Moreover, it has also recently come to light that several changes have taken place at AlphaTauri and that they are going to be called Racing Bulls this year. As things stand, there are quite a few question marks regarding the Faneza-based team the answer to which, can be expected soon.

Historically, AlphaTauri has been a team that has more often found itself running in the midfield of the pinnacle of motor racing. Considering this and everything that has gone around them recently, there will be quite a few eyes glued on them during the upcoming 2024 F1 season.
