Alpine’s livery leaked ahead of their car launch

The Alpine Formula One team is the only French team with a French line-up. The team signed Pierre Gasly at the end of last season. He will drive alongside his new teammate Esteban Ocon. Most of the Formula One teams have launched their livery for 2023, Alpine has scheduled it for 16th February. This makes them the last team to unveil their car.
Ahead of their launch, the team took their car, the A523 for a run at the Silverstone Circuit. This comes just a few days before their launch and pre-season testing which is scheduled for 23rd-25th February in Bahrain. While they completed their shakedown at the Silverstone circuit, little did they know their livery would be leaked on social media.
Every team is allowed 2 filming days per season, with a 100 km running allowance. Alpine used the day to complete their shakedown. Red Bull and Haas completed their filming day earlier this week. The reigning champion, Max Verstappen was pleased after his drive as shown in the teaser released by Red Bull. Now Alpine are the latest team to run their car at the circuit.

Esteban Ocon drove first in the morning and completed nine laps. Pierre Gasly took to the track later in the afternoon and covered eight laps. The French team was pleased as their day ran smoothly. Alpine checked their systems and completed the usual install programme for their car. The team could not wait to take the A523 for a spin.
While the team is getting ready for its official launch and pre-season testing, they did not expect the car to be leaked. They took the risk to bring the car out on track, it was inevitably spotted and shared on social media platforms. This marks Gasly’s first few laps for Alpine.
This is a new surrounding for Gasly, previously he was with AlphaTauri and his teammate was Yuki Tsunoda. Gasly has quite a history with his new teammate Ocon. However, both the French men have vowed to work together to bring the team forward. Ultimately that is the goal of every Formula one team. The Alpine drivers got an initial feel of the car and Gasly revealed it was a proud moment to drive the A523. The team does not seem too concerned that their livery is leaked. However, the wait for the official launch is almost over.
