Andretti-Cadillac make SHOCKING claim of never being aware of ‘the offer of a meeting’ with FOM in second statement since bid rejection

The Andretti-Cadillac saga recently came across a huge roadblock when F1 announced that they will not be permitting the entry of the American manufacturers into the sport. In an announcement made on Wednesday, F1 claimed that Andretti had underestimated the work that it would take to build a car as per the 2025 regulations and then reset and start from scratch again in 2026. The management also claimed that Andretti would not be adding much value to the sport as a whole and thus, 2025 will not see the introduction of an 11th team on the grid.
The FOM wanted to meet with the Andretti personnel in person and the team was given the option to present their project back in December 2023. However, quite surprisingly, Andretti never took that opportunity and now, as per latest reports, it turns out that Andretti were completely unaware about this offer. This is because the email sent by F1 with the aforementioned intimation had made its way into Andretti’s spam inbox.
Andretti recently came out with a two-paragraph statement–almost a reply to the claims made by the FOM regarding their F1 project. The statement also spoke about the missed meeting and how Andretti would never intentionally ignore such an opportunity.

Andretti-Cadillac put forward their explanations to the claims made by F1
The new statement by Andretti in relation to their bid rejection by Stefano Domenicali‘s organisation also cleared up the issues that came up due to their claims of participating in the 2025 season. The team explained that when they entered the whole process a year back, they had chosen 2025 as the year of entry.
However, with the process being so long drawn out, the team has been working with the 2026 season in mind.

The team also emphasized how important an in person meeting with the FOM can be. They explained that they have proposed the same to the FOM and are hoping for a positive reply. It is quite clear that the team from the US isn’t ready to step down anytime soon.
