Bernie Ecclestone breaks silence on ‘entirely untrue’ rumors about urging Christian Horner to resign from Red Bull

Christian Horner, the Red Bull team principal, has found himself in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. He’s dealing with an inappropriate behavior investigation and while it recently came to light that the former F1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone, wants Horner to step down as Red Bull boss, Ecclestone has completely denied the various reports.
Seeing the noise in the world of F1, Ecclestone has taken matters into his own hands and via an Instagram story, has denied reports of wanting Christian Horner to step down from his current Red Bull role.
While shedding light on the same, he wrote,
To clarify reports by newspapers that I had urged or suggested that Christian Horner should step down from his position at Red Bull are entirely untrue.

Ecclestone, with his update, has made it quite clear that he has not had any involvement in suggesting that Christian Horner should step down as Red Bull boss. Moreover, has indicated that all the reports that have surfaced recently are completely false.
The Christian Horner investigation is expected to go on during the 2024 F1 season
While Bernie Ecclestone has denied reports suggesting that Horner should step down, the latter’s investigation is expected to take a long time before a decision is made. Moreover, it is very likely that it will continue during the 2024 F1 season which is slated to kick off on the upcoming 29th of February.
The Austria-based Red Bull group hired an independent body to look into the allegations against Horner, but as per the recent updates, a conclusion can’t be expected soon. Moreover, for the time being, the Brit will continue in his role as Team Principal.
