Corinna Schumacher recently got hold of the State Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia on behalf of her husband, Michael Schumacher. Corrina with her daughter, Gina Schumacher attended the ceremony, Mick Schumacher missed the ceremony due to his illness. Michael’s wife had an emotional episode after receiving the award and saw the 7-time world champion honoured by the reactions. Micheal left Formula 1 in 2012 to stay the rest of his life with his family.

In 2013, Michael had a terrible accident after falling off a cliff while Skiing at the Meribel alpine resort. It was 29 December 2013 when Schumacher suffered the blow and brain injuries. Since then Michael hasn’t opened up to the public and is also never seen. He is under care with only his family members allowed for a visit. Jean Todt is one of them who visits the Schumacher family to check on Michael’s health once in a while.

“I met Michael 30 years ago, with Ferrari, living his passion and bringing joy to millions of us!” said Corinna Schumacher.

Jean Todt explains Corinna Schumacher’s emotions to be apt

Jean after the event tweeted about the event and explained the emotional path the ceremony took place in.

“An emotional ceremony in Cologne to honour Michael Schumacher’s outstanding career and charitable streak with Corinna, Gina, Mick Schumacher and Henrik Wust,” said Jean Todt.

“That’s just natural. No one planned it to be so emotional that tears were shed by Corinna, but sometimes it’s good to not always control yourself,” explained Todt.

He gives a heads up on Michael’s health earlier this weekend. He mentioned Schumacher’s condition to have gotten better and also remembers the old days with the 7time world championship in the Ferrari garage.
